been a while!

Well, it has been quite some time since I have left a post last. Blogging takes more time than I had initially realized. Hmmm...I guess I should give some updates of our life.

Granny Sany kept the twins one Saturday so that Caroline and I could go fishing with Papaw in Columbia at the lake. She caught more fish that I did, and I was trying! I must tell you just how proud Papaw was to be fishing with the Barbie pole! It was some much needed time together for us, and we had a blast!

The twins have done nothing but grow all summer! They will be 2 in December...I can't believe that it is already here. We are getting ready to start planning some birthday parties around our house.

If anyone has any birthday ideas...throw them at me! And if anyone can give me some blog design tips, that'd be great too.

My House

In my house there are many rooms. Most of them are always filled with toys that someone is tripping over. The bedrooms have toys scattered about and shoes all over fromt the twins throwing them all over and Caroline endlessly changing shoes. The bathroom (the children's) always has something all over the counter that is from the process of bathing 3 children. My bedroom is a collection of things that belong in places other than my bedroom. There are usually pacis scattered to and fro. The laundry room is constantly full of laundry that needs to be washed and eventually put up. But in the end, it is this state of chaos that makes my house my home. The 3 wonderful children that were entrusted to us by God are more important than making sure that every little thing is in its place. It is at the end of the day when I look around and see this chaos, that I smile and think how blessed I am that my children are around daily to make a mess. There are times when I'm sure the lives of my children are taken for granted, but I was reminded last week of just how short life can be.

My mom who was 44 years old passed away of 2 types of cancer...bladder and lung. She and I were close and then drifted apart. About a year ago, she made a faint attempt of reconciliation, but that never came about. It wasn't until November that we really began to "know" each other again. Then came the news in January that she was terminally ill. Well, raising three children while my husband works away did not leave room for me to be with her every second of the day. I am very thankful to my aunt for opening her home and taking care of her every second of every day. But, after lots of prayers by friends and family, my mom accepted Jesus Christ!! Amen! She told everybody that she new about her new found faith. After being told that she had 2 months to live, we didn't know what to do. These 2 months acutally turned into about 3 weeks. We had just started to build a relationship and then on May 21, 2009 at 9:28 am, she went Home with the Lord.

Through this, I have realized how important it is not to take our children for granted. They are only small once. Yes, there may be many dance recitals and church programs, but again, there is never any guarantee. So with this, I have learned to enjoy every moment and not to fret about the sippy cups left lying on the floor or the pile of laundry that needs to be done. My children need attention too!!

Let's Get Started!

I've never actually done anything like this before, but I figured, "Why Not?" What else do I have to do after my children go to bed at night. So I just thought that I could sit here and share my day with any poor soul who would like to listen (or read rather). I have a few friends around the country that might be interested in reading this stuff. If you have ideas for me after reading, just let me know.

I have the most wonderful husband in the world. We have been married almost 5 years. We have 3 beautiful girls. Caroline Grace is 3 (11/05), Alyssa Rae is 14 months (12/07), and Madison Claire is 14 months (12/07). Who knows whether or not there are any more to come. Probably not, but maybe. I think that I have all that I can handle.

Caroline is quite prissy!

Needless to say, my family is my world! Scott works away most of the time, but when he comes home, the girls are SOOOOO excited! They love their daddy!
